(AP) — Kedon Slovis threw three touchdown passes, all to Jared Wayne, and Israel Abanikanda rushed for two touchdowns as Pittsburgh rolled past Miami 42-16 on Saturday night, eliminating the Hurricanes from bowl contention. Miami (5-7, 3-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) has had its worst season in 45 years. Abanikanda now has 20 touchdown rushes this season and finished with 111 yards on the ground, his sixth straight 100-yard game for the Panthers (8-4, 5-3). Jake Garcia threw two touchdown passes for Miami.

(AP) — Stetson Bennett threw two touchdown passes and No. 1 Georgia ended a straight undefeated regular season for the first time in school history by overcoming a slow start and beating Georgia Tech 37-14. Georgia trailed 7-0 early but had 37 unanswered points for their fifth straight win in the state rivalry. The Bulldogs only led Georgia Tech 10-7 at halftime before overwhelming the Yellow Jackets with their running game. Kenny McIntosh and Kendall Milton ran for touchdowns. Georgia passed Georgia Tech 264-40. Georgia advances into next week’s Southeastern Conference championship game against No. 6 LSU.

Smith sank 7 of 12 shots with a 3-pointer for Georgia Tech (4-2) and added four rebounds and four assists. Dallan Coleman had 14 points and Jalon Moore had 13 points and eight rebounds. Miles Kelly and Lance Terry each scored 12 points. Smith had nine points, Kelly and Terry had eight each, and Georgia Tech comfortably led 43-24 at halftime. North Alabama (4-3), playing their fourth straight road game, shot 33% from the floor before the break. The Lions missed 7 of 9 from 3-point range and both their free throws.
