Here’s the latest SEC sports news from The Associated Press | Sports

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Devon Achane had a career-best 215 yards with two touchdowns, and Texas A&M stunned No. 6 LSU 38-23, almost certainly knocking the Tigers out of contention for the college football playoffs. Conner Weigman threw two TD passes for the Aggies and Demani Richardson returned a fumble for a score. The game was tied at 17-all in the third quarter before A&M went on to score 21 straight points. LSU had already secured a berth in next week’s SEC title game against undefeated No. 1 Georgia, and a win there could have sent the Tigers into the playoffs. But now they have three defeats and even a win against Georgia probably won’t be enough.

CLEMSON, SC (AP) — Spencer Rattler threw for 360 yards and two touchdowns and South Carolina beat a top-10 opponent for the second week in a row with a 31-30 win over No. 7 Clemson. The Gamecocks bounced back from 0 :14 in the first quarter, ending a seven-game losing streak. They also ended the Tigers’ 40-game home winning streak that stretched through 2016. Antwane Wells Jr. had nine catches for 131 yards, including both of Rattler’s TD throws. A week ago, South Carolina stunned then-fifth-ranked Tennessee 63-38.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Bryce Young rushed for 343 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another result in what might be his last home game for No. 8 Alabama as he led the Crimson Tide 49-27 past Auburn in the Iron Bowl. Alabama notched up double-digit wins for a 15th straight season despite being unable to live up to ever-present national title ambitions. The Tigers were attempting to secure bowl eligibility and salvage a disappointing campaign that included the firing of coach Bryan Harsin. Young, a junior, is projected to be a high NFL draft pick if he leaves Alabama, as is Tide linebacker Will Anderson Jr.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Jaylen Wright rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns with five carries while Jabari Small scored two more points as ninth-ranked Tennessee failed to trail rival Vanderbilt 56-0 on a rainy Saturday night. The Volunteers bounced back from two lost last three games and claimed their first 10-win regular season since 2003 and first overall since 2007. The losses had knocked the Vols down from first place in the college football playoff rankings to 10th place . Tennessee won its fourth episode in this series. Vanderbilt had broken its two-game SEC winning streak. Sophomore coach Clark Lea more than doubled his overall wins, just missing out on bowl eligibility.

UNDATED (AP) – Mississippi football coach Lane Kiffin said he informed school officials he was staying. That puts an end to speculation that he was the front-runner for the head coaching position at Auburn. Kiffin told The Associated Press in a voice message, “We still have work to do.” He added that he has not signed a contract extension with Ole Miss. Kiffin, 47, is 23-12 in three seasons as Rebels coach. A person familiar with Auburn’s search told the AP that the school is interested in Liberty coach Hugh Freeze. The person spoke of anonymity because Auburn did not release details of his search.

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Stetson Bennett threw two touchdown passes and No. 1 Georgia ended a straight undefeated regular season for the first time in school history by overcoming a slow start and beating Georgia Tech 37-14. Georgia trailed 7-0 early but had 37 unanswered points for their fifth straight win in the state rivalry. The Bulldogs only led Georgia Tech 10-7 at halftime before overwhelming the Yellow Jackets with their running game. Kenny McIntosh and Kendall Milton ran for touchdowns. Georgia passed Georgia Tech 264-40. Georgia advances into next week’s Southeastern Conference championship game against No. 6 LSU.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Indiana women’s basketball coach Teri Moren said she is considering not playing Memphis at Saturday night’s Las Vegas Invitational. In the previous game, there were no paramedics on hand to tend to an injured Auburn player. Auburn freshman Kharyssa Richardson fell hard with four minutes left against Colorado State and appeared to hit her head. There was a 50 minute wait for EMT staff to arrive at The Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip. That delayed the Indiana-Memphis games by nearly 90 minutes.

ST. THOMAS, VIRGIN ISLANDS (AP) — Chrissy Carr scored 18 points and undefeated Arkansas rolled past previously undefeated No. 25 Kansas State 69-53 to win the Paradise Jam Reef Division title. Arkansas (8-0) built a 38-26 lead at halftime and then pulled away in the third quarter, beating Kansas State 25-14. Carr had eight points with a pair of 3s in the third as the Razorbacks went into the last quarter 21 points ahead. Jaelyn Glenn scored 14 points and led Kansas State (7-1).
