Kenny McIntosh has earned the keys to fuel Georgia’s offense

Georgia football running back Kenny McIntosh has been a force of nature for the Dawgs this season. He’s owned this new role for the past 12 games, but since the Florida game, it’s like someone flipped a switch.

McIntosh runs with so much determination and it’s like he’s trying to prove whoever disrespected him was wrong. Every time he gets his hands on the ball, Georgia knows he’s going to do something special.

The past few weeks have been almost perfect from him, and that’s what Georgia needs from his running backs. At that point, feed him and let running back through the committee stuff for the next year.

Georgia football running back Kenny McIntosh is looking for blood.

McIntosh has removed more than 100 yards from scrimmage in three of these matchups in the past five games. The fewest yards came against Mississippi State, when they had 13 carries for 41 yards and no receptions.

Against Florida, he had 16 carries for 90 yards and two touchdowns. In the Tennessee game, McIntosh had 10 carries for 52 yards and two catches for 57 yards for a total of 109 yards. He had a few runs in those games where you could tell how hard he was running. McIntosh ran away with vengeance and purpose. In the last two weeks, this courage has paid off for him.

Facing Kentucky, McIntosh recorded his first 100-yard rushing game of the season. He had 19 carries for 143 yards, one score and two catches for 19 yards. Those stats gave him 162 total yards. McIntosh followed up with another standup performance against Georgia Tech with 12 carries for 86 yards, a score and two receptions for 96 yards, giving him 182 yards total.

Those numbers are impressive, especially given the number of snaps McIntosh shares with the other running backs. While all of these running backs are talented, what he does is impactful. It’s time to give him a bulk of the carries because the next few games are so important and if McIntosh keeps going like this, the Dawgs will win.

I’m not disrespecting the other running backs when I say feed McIntosh, but what he’s doing is just too good not to notice. McIntosh is a madman who needs feeding and it’s about time Georgia gave him what he needs. Feed him, Todd Monken. He’s a winner and will help keep the offensive going.

Georgia football can still spread the load among the running backs, but McIntosh needs the most reps because he deserves them. He’s burning hot right now and should be fed during this hot period.
