Seasoned entrepreneur signs multi-unit agreement with National Coffee Brand
November 28, 2022 // Franchising.com // OMAHA, Neb. – Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, the Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise with record-breaking growth, continues to expand its presence in the United States by expanding its World class drive-through cafes to Columbus, Georgia and Dothan, Alabama.
The expansion into west-central Georgia and southeast Alabama is the result of a five-unit franchise deal signed by Joey Eiland of Phenix City, Alabama. Eiland worked in construction for more than thirty years and owned several businesses including a dump truck, a pool and a concrete company. He thought he was ready to retire but was beginning to change his mind. “My son was really in business with me but he’s grown up now and I have a 9-year-old daughter. I wanted something for her and my grandchildren,” Eiland said.
Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Scooter’s Coffee specializes in homemade espresso beverages, fruit smoothies, freshly baked pastries and offers its signature beverage, Caramelicious®. The company recently expanded its profile with a range of organic hot and iced teas, single origin coffee and cold brew & cream.
According to the latest market trends compiled by the National Coffee Association, 60% of Americans have had coffee in the past day. That’s more than drinking tea, juice, soda, or even tap water! And the number of people who said they bought coffee from a coffee shop or restaurant has increased by 20% since January 2021. The drive-thru coffee model, already popular in our fast-paced society, has boomed during the pandemic, offering customers a way to get a tasty drink while staying socially distanced. Scooter’s coffee kiosks, branded with the promise of “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast!®,” are helping Americans meet that demand.
“I never would have considered a fast food franchise, but Scooter’s Coffee is different,” Eiland said. “I fell in love with the great product and business model. They work with dedication, precision and timing, just like me.”
Scooter’s Coffee is excited about brand expansion in this part of the Southeast.
“West Georgia and Eastern Alabama show great promise for Scooter’s Coffee,” said Kelly Crummer, senior director of franchise recruitment at Scooter’s Coffee. “We know there are many entrepreneurs looking for the right opportunity to run a successful business. With the Scooter’s Coffee model, motivated, enterprising people like Joey Eiland can achieve their goals.”
