Center 1st Bank Celebrates Groundbreaking for New Headquarters Building at State College – PA Business Central | Marcellus Business Central

Center 1st Bank broke ground on November 10 for its new Pennsylvania Headquarters Building in the State College area of Center County. The 15,000-square-foot, two-story building will be the flagship property at the entrance to Patton Crossing, a new 30-acre commercial and residential development currently being developed on North Atherton Street.

Center 1st Bank, a division of Old Dominion National Bank, officially entered the Central Pennsylvania market in 2018 as a truly locally owned community bank. With over 150 local investors and a 22-member Pennsylvania Advisory Board, Center 1st has generated over $500 million in commercial and consumer business along with over $155 million in deposits while operating from two temporary locations. The new building, scheduled to open in late 2023, will feature state-of-the-art personal banking solutions, drive-thru and common areas. The existing bank’s retail and commercial facilities will be combined in this one convenient location in the heart of Center County’s vibrant North Atherton Street Corridor.

“We are excited to take the next step in establishing Center 1st Bank as the leading community bank in our markets,” said President Jack Infield. “As of 2018, the consolidated bank has been recognized as one of the fastest growing community banks in the country, which was a direct result of responding to our locally owned, locally managed community banking model. Our team, with extensive experience in our markets, provides our clients with relationship-based, local lending and business decisions that benefit our clients, our bank and our community. Our new headquarters will provide our valued employees with additional resources under one roof to continue making a difference for our customers, and our achievements will continue to make a lasting difference in the community we serve,” said Infield.

“One thing we can all agree on is that Center 1st coming in here is good for all of us at State College. This is one of the most influential and eye-catching commercial real estate locations in this entire region and the fact that a local community bank is building a beautiful new facility here will send a powerful message to all who drive by. It says people want to bring their business here, people want to invest here, and it says we’re open for business,” said Mayor Ezra Nanes.
