NFL teams know that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts needs to be watched because he can make a difference on the ground. Well, maybe not every team.
The Green Bay Packers couldn’t handle hurts at all to start their matchup Sunday night in Philadelphia when Hurts passed the 100-yard rushing mark. … in the first quarter.
Hurts is now the only quarterback with over 100 rushing yards in a quarterback in the past 30 years, having 102 with 52 on the first drive of the game where Kenneth Gainwell rushed from four yards to go 7-. 0

Hurts is also close to breaking the Eagles franchise record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a single game, set by Michael Vick in 2010 at 130 yards. He finished the first half for 126 yards on 10 carries.
While Hurts does this against a struggling Packers defense, it’s worth noting that he’s not the NFL’s leading rusher at quarterbacks.

That goes to Justin Fields, who has 834 rushing yards with seven rushing touchdowns this season.

He couldn’t play against the New York Jets on Sunday because of a shoulder injury, but has rushed for 100 yards in two of his last three games, including his Nov. 6 performance against the Miami Dolphins, which had 178 yards on his stats list.

Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Daniel Jones were ahead of Hurts in rushing yards for quarterbacks before the start of this game, but Hurts will surely outperform Jones now (451-440).
Hurts got his Eagles across the field with his legs and didn’t mind handing them twice to Gainwell and Miles Sanders for three early touchdowns against Green Bay.

But he also did his job as a passer and found Quez Watkins just before halftime for a 30-yard jab down the right touchline for a touchdown, making it 27-20 Eagles on the way to the dressing room.
