Representatives from Fairfax County, Virginia, connect Indian businesses with US opportunities during a mission to India


Bangalore, Karnataka, India:
The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) returned to India for the second time this year for a visit led by Juhi Naithani, Assistant Director of International Business Investment. FCEDA has had a presence in India since 2004 and serves as a contact point for companies interested in expanding into the US market. This FCEDA India trip included Visits to New Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune in November 2022.

November 2022 – FCEDA in New Delhi


Ms. Naithani had meetings with Minister for Trade Affairs Jonathan Heimer at the US Embassy in New Delhi, and with companies based in Delhi/National Capital Region.



“Organizations like FCEDA are key to strengthening the work of the US Commercial Service,” said Mr. Heimer. “With its presence in India since the early 2000s, FCEDA’s commitment to helping Indian companies expand into the US is evident.”

In Hyderabad, Ms. Naithani met with Granules India Guided tour including a site visit at their largest manufacturing facility, the world’s largest pharmaceutical intermediates facility at Gagillapur. Ms Naithani was also interviewed by Major Sunil Shetty, a local podcast host https://mystartuptv.in/ about business opportunities in Fairfax County.

The FCEDA team also successfully ran a networking event for local tech companies with a keynote address Hyderabad US Consul General Jennifer Larson.



“I am pleased to be part of this roadshow to highlight Fairfax County as an attractive and worthwhile investment destination,” said Consul General Larson during her speech. “Not only is it a great place to do business, it’s also a great place to live, for example for your employees,” she continued.

November 2022 – FCEDA in Pune


FCEDA conducted an exclusive session Fairfax County in Northern Virginia: America’s most livable tech hub at TiECON Pune: Future Achievers Conclave, an annual conference of the TiE Pune Chapter that attracts more than 500 entrepreneurs from Pune and around the world. The session presented Pallabi Saboo, Founder and CEO of Fairfax County-based Harmonia Holdings Group, who is also a member of the FCEDA Board of Directors; and Ashok Chaturvedula, Senior Vice President, CGI, India, speaking to Ms. Naithani. They talked about Fairfax County being a preferred business destination for their companies as well as a great place to live and work.
